Great service and variety of flavors and the custard is over-the-top

Old fashioned ice cream parlor. Run into people you know every time. The soft serve custard is delish. I’ve never seen it outside of NJ. It’s way better than soft serve ice cream at Dairy Queen.

First time that I tried Frozen Custard. I chose safely and went with chocolate. This stuff is wonderfully smooth and creamy. Going to go back for more!

This place is a Hendersonville gem! Visted for the first time a few weeks ago and loved the custard. Wife requested a custard cake for her birthday. Will visit regularly for frozen treats.

Great custard with many options. The Hawaiian Luau is my personal favorite. Nice porch seating area.

What a great place to grab a frozen treat. I was a bit surprised when I ordered the Buckeye flavor because it had generous amounts of Reese's cups and peanut butter. It was great! I'll definitely be bringing the family back along with a cooler to bring home some of the quarts already made up.

First time trying and will definitely not be the last. The brownies and nuts were very fresh which isn't always the case at ice cream shops.

Super creamy custard, the Huntsville gem which is chocolate caramel and pecans in a vanilla custard was super, my wife loved the grasshopper which is mint and chocolate Flakes and a vanilla custard.

Henderson Gem was great. Staff was friendly.

Amazing Frozen Custard reminds me of Milwaukee, WI they have two new flavors that change daily and chocolate and vanilla every day and you can buy there previous flavors from days past at a discounted price a must try for extra thick rich and creamy custard ice cream

Never going back! My 5 yr old tripped coming down the step inside and dropped her ice cream. It went everywhere. Got her cleaned up she was crying so we asked for another cause she never even got a bite. I explained what happened to the older man at the counter as we asked for a hand towel to clean up the floor. He stated I needed to pay for another even though she tripped and fell from the step in his establishment. To keep my child from being upset and embarrassed I paid so she didn’t feel any worse. But there is no customer service there and he was the rudest most unfriendly person. WILL NEVER BE BACK AND IT WAS OUR FIRST TIME THERE!! WHAT A SHAME!!

Great prices..

Our first visit this weekend during a recurring stop in Hendersonville. Highly recommended by locals, we’ve stopped twice so far this week. The staff was extremely friendly and prompt. Prices were very reasonable. One thing I noticed was how cold and firm the yogurt was even after mixing in chocolate chips. Very nice, refreshing experience after dinner in downtown Hendersonville.

Delicious and creamy. So many options of whitstirs the wait staff were very patient while we made our selection.

Rude man behind counter. Went in day before to buy cake. There was limited selection, but purchased cake anyway to be picked up the following day. When I came in to pick up cake. I saw they had a better selection and wanted to switch my original choice to something different, I was treated extremely rude. I was told I bought my cake and it was mine, couldn't change it. Keep in mind I had never even touched the cake, it was always in their possession. Couldn't understand what difference it would make to make the change. Never treated so poorly at a business. Will never go to this Whit's again.

Great custard, but can get expensive. They only have 2 flavors a day plus vanilla and chocolate. Most are wonderful. I took away a star bc of price.

I liked it overall. It's more of a build-your-own, than a very large selection of pre-made treats. The servers were attentive. It was quite busy. It is a local tradition I understand. Good, but I wouldn't go so far as to say special.

Unfriendly staff because I asked to purchase a raw banana... they’re only used as toppings FYI. I’m lactose intolerant but still enjoy taking my children for treats. I’ve never had this problem at other ice cream facilities.

Yum, very good custard

Great selection, moderately priced, very busy on a holiday- there was a wide selection of indoor and outdoor seating. Their selection of frozen treats ready to go was bigger than DQ or Culvers. Plenty of parking and was pleased to learn they are open ALL Winter!

We walked into the store and were deciding what to order, When one of the workers said that if we were going to get something then we had to get it and leave. We said okay we'll get out of your way and they laughed. When we got our stuff we said that we'll leave and they laughed and we said that we were never coming back. They then got upset and we left. Just giving you the full story in case Whit's decides to respond.

If ever in Hendersonville or within 25 miles of it, stop at Whit's for taste bud delight. Their frozen custard is supremely smooth and rich. Lots of flavors available already packed. Daily special flavors available, too. They offer cups, cones (waffle cones with and without candied coatings) and blended ice creams with many toppings to blend in, shakes, malts and sundaes to tempt you. We live in Greenville and head up Rt 25 on nice afternoons in the Spring through Fall to ride through the mountains and end up at Whit's. Can't think of a nicer day.

Excellent custard, toppings and flavors. Quite busy for a Sunday afternoon, but apparently everyone wanted custard sundaes on this holiday weekend Sunday! Cozy seating area, with AC running. Unisex restroom was very clean. Freezers stocked with frozen cakes and various sized containers of custard ready to go. It may only happen once a year, but we'll be back!

Better than yogurt, better than ice cream! This place is great; their custard is creamy and delicious! Many flavors to choose from and they keep their coolers filled with the larger sizes to take home. My family and I go to Whit's frequently and have never had a bad experience.

Arrived 30 minutes prior to close and was served with speed and care! Service was excellent and polite. I ordered a kids cup (1 scoop = $3.00) and could hardly finish it. It was S'Mores flavor, rich and full of chocolate!

Tasty custard but rude customer service at last visit. If you don’t want customers to come in and order fifteen minutes before closing, change your hours. Unfortunately, due to the way we were spoken to, we don’t plan to return.

Great local joint. They have different flavors every day of the month. If you are lucky enough to stop by on Carrot Cake day, you will NOT be disappointed!

Custard is good. Parking lot is a disaster, can ruin your alignment
